NASSP sent an action alert this week to our members, advocates, and stakeholders supporting H.R. 2339, the Reversing the Youth Tobacco Epidemic Act. The bill was headed for a vote on the House floor this week, and we are looking to generate one more big push from school leaders urging Representatives to vote in favor. Anyone can easily send an email and tweet with a few clicks and also make a quick phone call to their Representative’s office here: https://p2a.co/EjYgOH6

LONGTIME EDUCATOR PASSES

We were sad to hear that Larche Farrill passed away this week in Columbia. Larche became the Director of Programming for the Missouri Council of School Administrators (MASA) in 1995. According to retired MoASSP Program Director, Dave Backer, "We did many workshops and conferences together. Our most remembered joint effort was doing the workshops to help principals and superintendents prepare to take the ISLLC exams." A memorial service is schedule for Saturday here in Columbia.
