Counselor Updates
Colossal Cobra
Colossal Cobra is going into week two of Respect.
Just a few things to help you in selecting your Colossal Cobra:
Look at all of your students - especially those who are “wallflowers”.
Look for something in every student.
Try to nominate all of your students.
You are only nominating your homeroom students.
Electvies, you can go to an LC homeroom teacher and make a suggestion, but you do not fill out the spreadsheet.
You can nominate up to 3 students for the trait each month.
Below is the link for the spreadsheet just in case you haven’t completed nominating for September. Please have your nominations in by Monday, September 23.

Clinic Updates
Tue 9/3/2019 7:53 AM
Good morning everyone!!!!! We are starting Vision and Hearing testing for all 5th graders today and will continue most likely through next week. The clinic will be closed except for emergencies only until lunchtime. STOMACHACHES ARE NOT AN EMERGENCY. Most stomachaches are caused by anxiety, or the need to go to the bathroom. If they complain and it's almost lunchtime, it's probably hunger. Thank you for your assistance in helping us with this huge undertaking.
Something to Ponder
HAPPY FRIDAY!!
I have had so many great conversations all across the district in the last couple weeks and because of those I had a hard time deciding on which topic to focus on or what article to share for this month's "Something to Ponder". In order to cover as many needs as possible, I have included several articles that got me thinking over the summer. If there is a topic you would like more information on that I have not included in the list below please feel free to reach out.
Best wishes for the new school year!
