Project Linus Volunteers Needed !
Parents – we need your help!
As in previous years, we anticipate a large number of students will choose to participate in next month's “Project Linus” project. “Project Linus” is a philanthropic organization that provides blankets for children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need.
The students will be decorating fabric squares (with permanent fabric markers) during recess on specific lunch dates. Theses fabric squares will be sewn together by “Project Linus” to make the blankets.
Here are the dates for each grade level:
Thursday, February 8th: 1st, 3rd and 5th grades
Thursday, February 15th: Kindergarten, 2nd and 4th grades
We need volunteers to supervise and assist the students. Volunteers need to be available from 11:15 am-1:15 pm on a specific date. You do not need to volunteer for both dates of the program.
If you are available to volunteer, please email your name and date(s) you are available to Amy Reeder at amyreeder75@gmail.com.
Please note: Volunteers will be taken on a first come first served basis as we may need to limit volunteers depending on how many volunteers we get for a given day.
