Timothy Berners-Lee

He was born on 8th June 1955 and Tim Berners-Lee invented the world wide web in 1989 when he graduated from Oxford University. In 2004 he received a knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II and was honoured during the opening ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London for his great achievement, so now he is known as Sir Timothy Berners-Lee.

Mother Board

The motherboard is the part that keeps the whole computer running, it allows all of the other parts to receive power, connect and communicate with each other. It has slots in it to insert other parts of your computer.


The RAM is known as the known best form of computer memory, it remembers all the folders, documents and files that you have on your computer.


The CPU stands for Central Processing Unit and it is the brain of the computer, without the CPU the computer wouldn't be able to do many functions such as moving and processing data.
