STEAM Camp
DuPage County NAACP is offering our STEAM Scholars2 camp to scholars this summer. It is an innovative camp that will be held with a “Curiosity...about the Pandemic'' theme this year. Our camp is an inclusive, multi-faceted problem-solving initiative designed to increase the exposure of students to coding, chess, art, game design, science, math, STEM careers, and the college experience. The classes are taught by educators, teacher candidates, and STEM professionals who provide students with 12 hours of engaging weekly instruction. Each week students will receive weekly materials for the camp.

Transportation Changes for 21/22 School Year
The district was planning on removing transportation for some areas of Ashwood Pointe this past Fall. However, because of the pandemic and all of the uncertainty, a decision was made to keep those services in place for the 2020-2021 school year.
I wanted you to be aware that the district will be removing transportation for the 2021-2022 school year for some areas in Ashwood Pointe. Transportation is being removed due to much of the development being completed and safe walking routes are now available to families going to Peterson Elementary. More information will be sent out to the families that are affected on June 10th.

Each educator honored will receive a personalized certificate with a custom message from you.
