Solar Nebula Theory
The biggest bang in history!
What is the Solar Nebula Theory?
The Solar Nebula Theory, otherwise known as the Big Bang Theory, is the theory of how our universe was created. The theory is that all of the pre-existing particles came together, created small dense clouds that collapsed to create the stars and the galaxy.
Facts about the Solar Nebula Theory
-Developed by Emanuel Swedenborg in 1734
-Hypothesized to be about 14 billion years ago
-The theory was once thought to only represent our Solar system, but is now thought to be a working theory for the entire universe
- the sun took approximately 1 million years to form
-the collapse of a solar-mass protostellar nebula takes approximately 100,000 years
