All of the teachers will be available to speak with you, so please make appointments with our PE teacher, our art teacher, our EL teachers, and our special education teachers.
If you have questions, please let us know! We would be happy to help you!
The document below gives you clear directions.
Wilson Makes his Debut at the Walk-a-Thon!
Hi Wilson! Kids were excited to meet Wilson! | Selfie with Wilson! Dr. Neylon was so excited to meet Wilson she took a selfie! | Welcome Wilson! Mrs. Valentour & her student give Wilson a big Meadowview welcome! |
Walk-a-Thon Success!
I would like to thank everyone for their patience as I asked the PTO to hold off on announcing the totals and the winners until I could schedule an assembly with the entire school. We had a lot of things going on right after the event; Outdoor Education with 5th grade and field trips with other grades! I wanted students to be together to learn how their efforts impacted not only our school, but others! So, thanks for being patient.
The students were so excited to learn that they made over $8,000 total! They also loved how Feed My Starving Children - THEIR choice of charities - will recieve 5% of that total! Wilson the Fox was on hand to help them all celebrate! ALL of our students, and especially the PTO, can be proud of their efforts! I know I am a VERY proud principal!
PTO Update
Thank you, Meadowview students and families, for your participation in our first ever Walk-A-Thon. It was a huge success! Our Meadowview students raised over $8000 for our school, with a portion going to Feed My Starving Children! We would also like to thank everyone who came to our Halloween Dance. The Monster Bash was a hit!
Our next PTO Meeting is on Thursday, November 9th at 6:30pm in the LRC. Please note the change in date! Childcare will be provided. We hope to see you all there. And please save-the-date for our fall Scholastic Book Fair which will be held from Thursday, November 16 until Tuesday, November 21st. Students will be visiting the book fair with their classes on November 16th or 17th. And we will be open during Family Reading Night and parent-teacher conferences.
The holidays are just around the corner, and so are the Meadowview holiday parties! If you are interested in being a room parent and helping organize the classroom parties, please sign up with this link. You just sign up under your child's teacher. This year, room parent sign up is completely online. Thank you!
Cold Weather is Coming!
If kids want to play in the snow, they may! Boots, snowpants, gloves and hats help keep everyone dry and warm! Please send extra clothing to school for your child to keep in their locker, especially socks, and pants! When students get wet at recess, changing into dry clothes makes the afternoon much more comfortable! We do have extra clothes in the office, but sometimes students don't like to wear those.
We will have early entrance if it is raining (and when it is extremely cold-below zero). Students enter the building and wait in the hallways, and by their lockers, with patrols and on duty teachers, before their classrooms are open.
