PHS Media Center Goals

PHS Media Center Mission

The mission of PHS Media Center is to assist students, teachers and administrators in fulfilling their educational goals. The media center is dedicated to assisting students to become independent, effective researchers and users of information, to become critical thinkers, capable users of technology and successful communicators. It is also the mission of the media center to support learning and reading for pleasure.

PHS Reading Club

The Plainfield Reading Club will consist of a group of students’ grades 9–12 who enjoy reading for recreation. The annual goal for the Reading Club is to foster a love of reading and lifelong learning.

The Plainfield Reading Club will be hosted on My Big Campus. Students will be able to access My Big Campus and have book discussions and "meet" virtually.

Lael DuBois

Lael DuBois is a certified School Librarian / Library Media Specialist (grades K-12) who has been the media specialist / school librarian at Plainfield High School for 8 years. Prior to that, she was the school librarian at Pike High School and Pike Freshman Center.
