A Message from Mrs. Caudill
Dear Bobcat Families,
What an AMAZING first week of school. The laughter, smiles (yes, we can tell when your kids smile) and joy is palpable during the school day. Thank you for sharing your children with us. Our students days have been filled with routines, teamwork, community building and so much more.
The one area we know that still needs work is our afternoon loop pick-up. We know the line is long and is causing a safety concerns. We are aware and are working on our processes to make sure we doing everything we can. However, WE NEED YOUR HELP.
To ensure the loop works efficiently, effectively and safely we need you to do the following:
- Form TWO lanes as you enter the parking lot, to keep cars off 8 Mile Rd.
- MERGE alternating lanes when you approach unloading/loading zone.
- Pull ALL THE WAY forward to the farthest available volunteer.
- Try to stay BUMPER TO BUMPER in the loop, don’t leave space between cars
- At Dismissal place a paper with your child(ren)'s name in your front window so we know who to call
Thank you for your grace and patience as everyone learns the proper procedures for utilizing our loop.
Stay well,
Devon Caudill

Amerman Return to School Plan for Families
To help you understand our procedures, the Amerman Return to School Plan for Families was created to provide you awareness of the many things we are doing this year to keep your child safe. Fair warning - it is a very lengthy document that goes into a ton of detail. I hope you find this document informative and helpful.

Morning Loop Volunteers Needed
Volunteers are needed every morning to assist students with exiting their vehicles during drop-off in the Amerman loop. Volunteers are needed 8:30 until approximately 8:45 a.m. We'd love your help for 15 minutes each week to keep things running smoothly - especially if you regularly use the loop. Please join us!
If you are unable to commit to a regular time slot, please consider signing up to be a back-up volunteer. Back-up volunteers (our "subs") are needed to fill slots when regular volunteers are unable to work, and occasionally when we anticipate higher than usual traffic in the loop
Please sign up by using the link below!

COVID Safety and Mitigation Plans
As we come together in learning this year, it is important to remember to perform at-home self-monitoring using the COVID-19 Daily Student Symptom Screening Tool. This screener serves as a daily reminder that children who are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 (or ANY illness) need to stay home from school. This is an important measure that will help prevent or reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our schools. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in using this screener each school day. In addition to the daily screener students and staff are required to wear masks while indoors.
The NPS 2021-22 COVID-19 General Mitigation Response Plan outlines the multiple layers of COVID-19 safety measures being implemented across the district to support the health and safety of all students and staff. School principals will share specific building procedures with families. Processes are in place at each school to teach and/or reinforce safety measures with all students. The Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document answers additional questions you may have as you and your child are preparing for the start of the 2021-22 school year.

hot lunch program for interested students
Families must preorder lunches for preschools and elementary students. Orders must be in by 8:30 AM for elementary students to receive a lunch that day. The system will not allow you to order after the time listed above. For your convenience, meals can be preordered up to 30 days in advance. To avoid any issues, we recommend ordering the night before.
