Dear Rhoades Families
What a great day meeting all those who could make it to the Popsicles with the Principals event!
We are thrilled to commence the 2023-24 school year, welcoming our exceptional students and families! Over the past two weeks, our dedicated K-5 teachers have been bustling around the school, ensuring everything is set for the first day of school on August 16th.
To our Pre-K students, we are eagerly looking forward to having you start on the 18th!
I'm sure many of you are eagerly anticipating learning about your child's assigned teacher! K-5 Teachers will reach out to you via email on Friday afternoon, August 11th!
Pre-K families, your Meet the Teacher event is scheduled at the same time as your Pre-K screener appointment. Here's the link in case you need to sign up.
For K-5th Grade students at Rhoades, we will be hosting our annual Meet the Teacher event on Monday, August 14th. The schedule is as follows:
- Last names starting with A-H: 2:45 PM to 3:45 PM
- Last names starting with I-Q: 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM
- Last names starting with R-Z: 5:15 PM to 6:15 PM
During this event, you'll have the opportunity to meet your child's teacher, visit the classroom, turn in school supplies, and engage in other essential activities like joining the PTA, signing up to volunteer, updating lunch accounts in the cafeteria, and receiving new car rider tags. We are eagerly looking forward to seeing you and your child on that special day! Here's the link to our school supply list.
Pre-K First Day of school Friday, August 18th
Your child's teacher will have more details at your scheduled Meet the Teacher.
K-5th Grade First day of school, Wednesday, August 16th
Parents may walk their child to class the first morning of school. In addition, parents of Pre-K and Kindergarten students will be able to walk their child to class the first three days of school. After that, school staff will be available throughout the building to help students find their classroom.

Free/Reduced Meal Program
Broken Arrow Public Schools participates in the National School Lunch Program. Through this program, students may qualify for free and reduced rates for breakfast and lunch based on household size and income.

8:50-Regular drop off begins, students go directly to classrooms or the cafeteria for breakfast. Doors do not open until 8:50. Please do not allow students to arrive at school prior to this time.9:15- School begins (Tardy Bell rings)
