September 14, 2020
Dear Families,
We've had a great first week with all students. As we worked through some of our new procedures, we've made some adjustments to make things go even more smoothly. We appreciate your continued support as we make these changes to improve safety and efficiency for all.
Parent Drop-Off
As a reminder, if you are dropping students off please do so at the designated drop-off area. For our students safety, we ask that parents do not drop off at the front of the school. Please review these procedures to locate the designated drop off area.
Parent Pick-Up
Students will load along the side of the building by the cones. Please continue to pull up to cones for the loading. If your child has loaded and you are ready to pull away, you may do so if you can safely proceed.
Fire Drill Thursday
We will practice our first fire drill of the year on Wednesday, September 16th at 10:00. Please click here to see the letter associated with this drill.
Lost & Found
We already have a few items in our lost and found. If you are missing something, please email Stephanie Genke (stephanie.genke@franklin.k12.wi.us) with a description of the item and a staff member will look for it. Any items that are not collected by September 18th will be donated.
This year we will be purging lost and found items more often so it will be important for children to keep a close tab on their belongings. If possible, labeling personal belongings with your child’s first and last name so that we can return it if found.
Thanks again for your help in getting our school year off to such a positive start. It’s going to be a great year!
Yours in education,
Bridget Mowbray

ATTENDANCE FORM & NEW PROCESS FOR ALL ATTENDANCE NEEDS!
It is essential to note that attendance is now reported using THIS FORM. The attendance form is also located as a button on the main school webpage and under the “Parents Information” section. This form will require you to enter your child’s six-digit student ID number and birthdate before you can report your child absent. Student specific medical information collected by the form will remain confidential and only be shared within the health and nursing services team. This form was designed to help us rapidly assess possible cases of COVID-19 so that we can mitigate the spread of the virus. After completing the form, you may receive a follow-up phone call or email from one of our health and nursing services staff with either follow-up questions or additional information.
This attendance form should be used to report ANY attendance need for any date(s)!
FPS CONTINUES TO USE STOPIT APP FOR INCIDENT REPORTS
MASK INFORMATION
As you know, everyone (adults and children) are required to wear a mask on campus and in the building except during when eating and drinking or participating in adult led outdoor socially-distanced activities.. The learning environment extends to the school bus as well, students and drivers are expected to wear face coverings. Students and staff have done a great job with masks this week. Thank you for continuing to practice mask use at home and working to find which masks fit/work best for your child (covers chin and nose and fits well). Although we do not anticipate any problems, if students do not wear a mask, we may need to reach out to you for additional support to ensure all are wearing masks. Please reach out with any questions or concerns.
