Bear Bulletin
Maire Newsletter September 17th edition
Dear Maire Families,
School is back! Our staff commits the majority of their energy in the first two weeks to build strong relationships and classroom communities. We truly hope that each child knows they are loved, welcomed, and safe while they are here at school. As the academics ramp up, that relationship foundation is essential in order to push each child to maximize their potential.
Thank you to all the parents who came to Back to School Night this week. That is another part of school that we missed, having parents inside our school and in our classrooms. That community feeling, creating strong relationships with parents, is part of what makes Maire special. We are glad to have you back! If you haven’t watched the Principal or PTO videos, here are the links again: Maire PTO video (3 min) Principal Francis Video (16 min)
In the upcoming weeks we will be kicking off our annual Fun Run in order to raise money for the school. Your generosity over the years has been incredible. PTO truly enriches the experience of our students with assemblies, field trips, new teaching materials, and updates to our building. In the past few years we’ve modernized our library with whiteboard tables and rolling chairs, and recently the new gym mats went up on the walls in order to create a safer environment in PE. Also know that PTO provides funds to each staff member so they can get resources to make their teaching and learning better. And the best part of the Fun Run is that it is a great community building experience. Every child and every family, no matter how much is donated, is able to enjoy a fun day celebrating Maire!
Two weeks are in the books. Our staff can’t wait to see what 2021-2022 has in store for us all!
Sincerely,
Ryan Francis
proud Principal of Maire
