Merry Christmas from all of us at Goodness Grows!

Looking for a way to give back this holiday season?

Easy Ways to Support GG

1. Online Shopping! ~ If you shop Amazon, anytime during the year, you can support GG for free at the same time! Just use Amazon Smile and choose Goodness Grows as your charity of choice. Then, you get your items and we get 0.5% of the purchase price through this program! Check it out online at smile.amazon.com.

2. Volunteering! ~ Give of your time and get back lots of love & smiles! We enjoy having people pitch in to help with jam making, crafting, gardening...whatever we're working on. Maybe you even have a skill you could teach us!

3. Donating Items! ~ We are always in need of basic jam making supplies such as regular 8oz. canning jars, lids, sugar, and white vinegar. We are also good at putting crafting supplies and baking supplies to good use!

4. Charitable and/or Year End Giving! ~ As a small non-profit, Goodness Grows depends upon generous supporters who give monetary support. A contribution to Goodness Grows is tax-deductible, to the extent allowed by law. As you are pondering what organizations to support now and into the new year, please consider a gift (one-time or on-going) to Goodness Grows. Your donations help us to continue our mission of working with people of all abilities.

There is good work being done right here and we would love for you to be a part of it!

Christmas Craft Shows

We had a spectacular time at the Holiday Flea at the DeYor and at the Senior Class Craft Show at Canfield High School this month. It was awesome to connect with so many folks. Thanks to all the people who put in the hard work to make these events happen each year. Thanks to each one of you who stopped by to see us and supported our work by purchasing Jungle Jam, Juicy Jam, Catnip Toys, and/or Reindeer Food. We deeply appreciate every one of you! Hearing from so many people that they were looking for us while attending these gigantic and fabulous events truly made our month!

F5RS Bunnies in Baskets - Therapy Rabbits

We had a hoppin' good time this week when our friend Sara came to visit us and brought along Maeve the bunny! Maeve is too young to start formal training to be a therapy rabbit, but she is just the right age to go out on visits for the purpose of socialization. We couldn't get enough of her soft fur and cute, wiggly nose. We thank Sara for always being willing to share her bunnies and her knowledge of all things rabbit!

December Adventures

We love December! We have had so much fun with various projects this month. We decorated the outside of our home here at Common Ground Church Community. We decorated inside at Whispering Pines in Columbiana. We have made reindeer food, gone shopping, baked cookies, and are looking forward to next week when we will be dropping off the toys and items collected here for Akron Children's Hospital. Next week we will also celebrate the season with food and cookie baking with our friend, Bonnie...and we can't wait! After that, GG will be closed for Christmas Break from December 23 through January 1, 2020. We encourage you to plan some time to visit us in the new year to see what we do and to get involved in all the fun we have!

It's Time to Think About Produce!

Keep an eye out for information about our produce subscription program for the 2020 growing season. We have already started thinking about what to plant. Before too long, it will be time to start some seedlings! We will post the info - dates, cost, produce, etc. - on our website, Facebook, and in a newsletter sometime in mid to late winter. Now is the time to start considering whether you would like to sign up to get fresh, local produce that we grow right here in North Lima! If you have any questions or would like more information, let us know. Feel free to suggest crops that you would like to see us grow this year. AND, keep your fingers crossed that 2020 doesn't bring the ridiculous rain that plagued this area in 2019!
