Feedback
Our students and our teachers deserve honest, specific feedback on their progress. People aren't ready to hear that kind of feedback without trusting relationships. We've spend this first month of school focusing on knowing each other's stories, and building those relationships. I encourage you to begin to listen to how teachers give students feedback, how students give each other feedback, and to reflect on how you are giving staff feedback.
This video, Austin's Butterfly, is a 6 minute clip about one student's perseverance through multiple drafts with feedback from his peers. How could this video support your students, your staff, and you in giving relevant feedback?
