Carson- our Aloha Sunshine
Over the past 10 years our Warrior family has helped medically fragile children and their families through the Sparrow organization. This year we are helping Carson and his family in partnership with dollarfor.org. Carson was our first Aloha Warrior Sunshine last year. Because of the pandemic our efforts were cut short, so he will continue to be our Sunshine this year.
Carson is five years old and he's won the hearts of our 'Ohana. He loves singing, pandas and hanging out with our Warriors. He does not like ice-cream - only whipped cream. His mom, Megan graduated from AHS in 2006. When Carson was born, he was diagnosed with a very rare disorder called Peter's Anomaly. This is when the front part of the eyes don't form correctly causing Carson to be blind. Carson also has Pulmonary Valve Stenosis which is a hole in his heart. Through our fundraising last year we were able to get Carson a Smart Brailler and cover some medical bills. More information will be coming in student's homeroom classes.
