Happy Friday! We had a great week here at Emma Miller! It's chilly at school, so please pack those sweatshirts or jackets.

* Permission slips for the field trip to Jaeschkes was sent home this week. Please sign and return them as soon as possible, if you haven't already done so. Thank you.


* The School Committee will meet on Monday afternoon at 5:00pm. As always, you are welcome and encouraged to attend. The agenda is attached below.


* Aftercare - Families will be credited for Wednesday, 9/28, if your child was scheduled to attend that day when the Aftercare program was closed. Payments due by 10/7 for attendance during the week of 10/11 - 10/14 . A friendly reminder that there is no school on Monday, 10/10.


* The NBSU Special Education Department is reaching out to families with an invitation to join the SEPAC (Special Education Parent Advisory Council). Please complete the survey below, if you are interested.


* Little Caesar fundraising orders can be paid by cash or check, if you are using the order form in the back of the packet. These payments must accompany the order form when they are returned to school. All checks can be made out to the ELM PTG. Please note that we receive $6 for every item that is purchased during this fundraiser. Thank you for your efforts.


Planning Ahead:


* The Little Caesars order pick-up date is scheduled for Friday, October 28th here at the school. Parents/Guardians will need to come to the school to pick up the orders on that day. We will not have freezer space to store them, nor can we send them on the school bus. Further details will be provided soon.


* We will be having our classroom Halloween parties on Friday, October 28th in the afternoon. Also, just as we have in the past few years, we will continue to provide the snacks and drinks for the parties. Students can bring their costumes to school and they will be allowed to wear them during their classroom party.


A Note from Nurse Jacquelyn:


* In the event of your student's absence/tardiness, even if not related to illness, please contact Ms. Kayla, the classroom teacher, and Nurse Jacquelyn to notify them of the absence. You can reach Nurse Jacquelyn at jgraves@savoyelementary.com or 743-1992 ext. 5503.


* We continue to have positive COVID cases within our school during various times. We appreciate your continued support in testing your child, if they are experiencing any symptoms and notifying the nurse's office. We do have a large inventory of COVID tests, so please do not hesitate to reach out if you need any.
