Lori Ihle, Assistant Principal

Joining the Clifty Creek family

It is a sincere pleasure and honor to become the new Assistant Principal of Clifty Creek Elementary. I am looking forward to assisting Mrs. Gina Pleak in making this a great school year. I support the mission and vision of Clifty Creek Elementary and I look forward to working with our dedicated staff and community to help provide the best educational experience for our students. Clifty Creek enjoys a rich history of academic and cultural excellence that is a result of a collegial partnership between the school staff and parents who provide a diversity of experiences for the students. I am looking forward to being a part of this close working relationship and focusing upon what is best for children.

My Educational Background

This will be my sixteenth year in education. I have taught first, second and third grade. My first fourteen years were spent in the Mason City School District in Ohio. This past year I was a second grade teacher at CSA Lincoln. I have been a self-contained classroom teacher, an ESL cluster teacher, and a team teaching partner. I have two masters degrees. My first master's is a degree in the Arts of Teaching with an english focus. My second master's is an Educational Leadership degree.

About Me

I am a mom to four awesome kids. My oldest, Katie, is sixteen, which is pretty hard to believe most days. My next oldest, my stepdaughter Rowyn, is thirteen, she makes me laugh everyday. The next in line, Whitnee, is ten, she has the biggest heart of anyone I have ever known. Finally, the youngest, my stepson Finnigan, is eight, he is a boy in a sea of girls. All four of them brighten my life and keep me on my toes.

My husband, Darrin, is a master craftsman. He amazes me everyday with the things he builds. Sometimes I wish I had a tenth of his talent.

My parents, Bruce and Linda, live back in Ohio. They have already picked out some land right next to my house and plan on building in the next five years. I wouldn't be where I am today without their love and support.
