Spring Pictures
Spring Pictures will be on Wednesday, March 10th. There will be no class pictures due to covid, but they will be making a one-page collage of all individual picture in each class. Information about ordering packages will be going home in next week.

Digital Art Showcase For All Students!
Do you have an artwork that you would like to share from this semester in the art room with Ms. Mills? We want to celebrate the amazing student artists of Taylor Elementary! Submit your artwork via the Google Form and it will be included in a Digital Art Showcase that will be displayed throughout the building and online to share with your friends and family.

Student with Disabilities Parent Survey
Parent Involvement Survey
We invite all families of students with disabilities to complete the Parent Involvement Survey. It is available in English and Spanish through the online link from January 19-May 31, 2021. For parents with more than one child receiving SPED services, the parent can complete a separate survey for each child. all responses are anonymous.

Permissive Transfer Requests
Permissive Transfer letters and applications went home January 15, 2021. The deadline to submit RENEWAL application is January 25, 2021. If you have a student currently on a Permissive Transfer, you must renew for 2021-2022 SY. Please be sure to return your application or your child will be marked for their homeschool.
Parents of Fifth Graders that attend Taylor ES on a Permissive Transfer whose home address is not zoned for Creekland Middle School will need to request transfers from your zoned school. Permissive Transfers must be requested from your zoned school, approved by principal and then taken to the of middle school of choice.
All RISING Kindergarten students planning to attend Taylor Elementary for the 2021-2022 school year on a Permissive Transfer MUST have the Permissive Transfer originate and signed off by his/her home school first before we can process transfer. (GCPS of attendance is based on home address).
Per GCPS, transportation for Permissive Transfers student(s) is the responsibility of the parent/guardian.

PHOTOS FOR YEARBOOK
If you have photos from the first day of school, class parties, digital learning, etc. that you want to submit to be possibly included in the yearbook, please follow the instructions in the attached flyer. We are especially looking for 3rd grade, 4th grade, and 5th grade photos.

Student Birthday Treats - Please Read

Student Birthdays can only be celebrated with ice cream purchased from school or prepackaged snacks. This will ensure we minimize touch points and maintain a safe and healthy school. For example, prepackaged Oreo cookies, CapriSun, etc. are an acceptable alternative.
Unfortunately, individual cupcakes from grocery stores, warehouse clubs or made at home are no longer be permitted.
You may pre-purchase ice cream for all students in the class from school by completing the flyer linked below and returning it to the office with your payment of $1.00 per child (Birthday Student is Free!). Please contact the teacher for the exact number of the students in the class before purchasing. All orders must be placed at least one day in advance.
