Photosynthesis
by Ulises Bautista
How does water enter a plant and get to the leaves?
Through the roots.
How does carbon dioxide enter the leaf?
Plants get carbon dioxide from the air through their leaves. Known as the Stomata.
Where does photosynthesis occur in the plant?
The Chloroplasts
Why is sunlight important to the process of photosynthesis?
It gets food and energy from the sun
What is a waste product for the plant and how is it removed from the plant?
Green plants produce carbon dioxide and water as respiratory products. In green plants, the carbon dioxide released during respiration gets used during photosynthesis. Oxygen is a by product generated during photosynthesis, and exits through stomata and root cell walls.
What does the plant do with the sugar it makes?
It uses it to make Starch
What are the final products of photosynthesis and how are they important to life on this planet?
Glucose and Oxygen. We breathe oxygen and need sugar to survive and also we eat it.
