Yearbook Cover Art Contest
We are bringing back our yearbook cover art contest this year to provide an opportunity to include student work in the book! This year's yearbook theme is Spread kindness like confetti!
If your child would like to participate, they should create a vertical (up and down) design on an 8.5"x11" piece of white printer paper. Please see past yearbook covers above.
We encourage you to have your child use LOTS of color to make their drawing pop! The design must include:
- The theme: Spread kindness like confetti
- The words: Laura B. Sprague School
- The year: 2021-2022
- Student's first and last name
- Student's grade level (EC, Kindergarten, 1st grade, or 2nd grade)
ALL ENTRIES ARE DUE BY THURSDAY FEBRUARY 17.
Please DO NOT FOLD your child's entry.
Please scan at 300 dpi and email to spyearbook@d103.org, drop off at the Sprague School office, or mail your entries in a large envelope (unfolded) to Sprague School: Yearbook, 2425 Riverwoods Rd., Lincolnshire, IL 60069.
Talent Show Deadline Approaching
The Music Appreciation Committee of the PTO is organizing the Sprague Talent Show and encourages your child to participate! The spotlight is on student talent with musicians, singers, dancers, magicians, and performers of all kinds entertaining classmates and their families in the Sprague gym Saturday, March 12. We also invite second graders who would like to help emcee the event to register on the PTO Portal. Enjoy this chance for kids to shine and for our community to gather and connect. Participants should register on the PTO Portal by Friday, Feb. 11. Students will perform between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. but in the interest of safety, families will only attend the one-hour slot when their child is performing.
Valentine's Day Treats for Sale
Please join the PTO for its second annual Valentine's Day Treats fundraiser with Max and Benny's. Ten percent of sales will be donated back to D103 PTO while you get to enjoy delicious treats just in time for Valentine's Day. It's a win-win! Choose from a selection of cookies, brownies, pretzels and more. There's even a DIY cookie kit for the creator in all of us. Orders are due by 5:00 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4.
