In Memoriam
As a former English teacher, I sometimes find myself thinking in poetry, especially those poems I taught over and over again because I loved them. I was reminded of this poem in the last few weeks, and it seems appropriate to share with you as we mourn the loss of Mr. Beaver.
Nothing Gold Can Stay by Robert Frost
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
Mr. Beaver was truly "gold, " a treasure to everyone who encountered him. Please join us in celebrating his life this Wednesday night at 6 PM in the cafeteria.
Begin your week knowing I am thankful for each of you.
