Warrington Artists Create Positive Behavior Aspirations
Warrington Elementary 4th and 5th graders participated in a school-wide art contest to promote the Positive Behavior System (PBS). Students were asked to create a poster that demonstrated an example of students showing positive behavior at school. This project was particularly difficult for students because it challenged them to create a picture with an abstract idea or message as opposed to a specific item. Brandi Snodgrass, Warrington Elementary art educator, is proud to announce that the winning pictures were turned into posters which now adorn the halls of the school, serving as reminders for all who pass through the halls that the key to success at Warrington Elementary is to have a positive attitude.

The artwork was completed in May 2013 and was dedicated to the front office of Hellen Caro Elementary this school year for permanent collection.

Meaningful Opportunities and Career Exploration at Warrington Elementary
Careers in design or careers that require design skills are increasingly in demand. At Warrington Elementary art educator Brandi Snodgrass seeks to incorporate design into many of the art projects. Students were recently given the opportunity to create floral designs for the school's annual PBS (Positive Behavior System) spaghetti dinner to be used as centerpieces on the tables. The students who participated enjoyed designing a meaningful work of art that was on view for all to take pleasure in at the dinner. Those boys and girls really set the mood for a nice family dinner
