WORLD KINDNESS DAY 2020
RED RIBBON WEEK 2020 CELEBRATION
This year's Red Ribbon Week theme is "Be Happy. Be Brave. Be Drug Free". Show your Red Ribbon spirit during the week of October 23rd through October 31st by dressing up for each of the days on the calendar below!
Don't forget that Red Ribbon Week has a very important meaning! It's important that we continue to encourage each other and to live healthy, happy, and drug free lives. It also serves as a reminder that we are all empowered with shaping the communities around us through positivity, bravery, and strength.
National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month
October is National Bullying Prevention Month!
Every October, schools across the country observe National Bullying Prevention Month. The goal: encourage schools, communities and organizations to work together to stop bullying and cyberbullying and put an end to hatred and racism by increasing awareness of the prevalence and impact of all forms of bullying on all children of all ages. Remember, there is a difference between BULLYING and TEASING or CONFLICT. Be a leader, and if you see something, say something!
WHAT DOES SUCCESS MEAN FOR YOU?
The counselors here at the Creek are here to help make your middle school journey as meaningful, fun, and successful as possible. At Cypress Creek not only do we H.O.W.L, but we remind everyone to be always be YOU and
EMBRACE YOUR INNER COYOTE!
So, think about it ... What does success mean to YOU?
BE AN UPSTANDING COYOTE
Bullying is defined as an intentional act that causes harm to others. Bullying can be physical, verbal, social (gossip, excluding others), or cyber (electronically), and it is a very serious topic that we revisit each year. If you SEE something SAY something! Be an upstanding citizen and be sure to report any incidents of bullying or peer pressure to a trusted adult. To report anonymously, you can leave a tip on "Fortify FL" at the following link:
https://getfortifyfl.com/Tip.html
Remember, always be kind for others may be fighting a battle that you know nothing about. There is a NO TOLERANCE policy when it comes to bullying, harassment, or peer pressure!
