Students will work with the following vocabulary words: bargain, concentrate, riot, infirmary, bound, predicament, revolting, dispose, hijack, desolate, keen, and foil. They will also respond to questions to check for understanding and comprehension. They will have a vocabulary quiz on Friday over the application and use of the words.

Social Studies

Students did a wonderful job on their biography projects!! Check out some of the wonderful bottle projects below.

We will have a our unit 6/8 test on Thursday. Please look over the vocabulary words from unit 6 and 8 with your child to help them be prepared for the test. The lists are in their yellow folder. They should have also brought home their social studies journal with notes in them to review.

The last 3 weeks, we will finish up with unit 11 which covers entrepreneurs. The final activity that students will participate in at school is our annual trade a barter day. More information to come.

Spelling and CUPS

Unit 33 covers the spelling rule for suffixes. Drop the final e before adding 'er' or 'est'. If the words ends with a single consonant, double the consonant and add the ending. We will have spelling and CUPS to complete until May 22nd.
