Cleaning Products Clorox Wipes and other antibacterial cleaning products are limited and in demand again. While we still have some, we anticipate needing more throughout the school year. If you are out and about and see Clorox or any other antibacterial cleaning wipe, please pick up an extra for the school!
Calling all technology minded individuals! We would like to form a 2-3 person team of volunteers to help maintain technology around the school. IT service calls can take a huge bite out of our budget, so we are looking for people who have experience with maintaining networks and general troubleshooting (desktops, Chromebooks, printers, smart devices, etc). Ideally each volunteer would be able to make a 2-3 year commitment, and would help find their replacement before rolling off the tech team. An example of some of the tasks we need help with include updating desktops to Windows 10, making sure computers are connected to network printers, checking that security updates are completed regularly, setting up new equipment as needed, helping remove broken/outdated tech from inventory, salvaging usable components, etc. Please contact Mrs. Goldsworthy and reference Tech Team in your subject heading.
Show Green Team Your Green Practices! We wanted to reach out to all of our Green Team members and the school as a whole. Green Team is having a Photo Drive! Please take and share pictures of the environmentally friendly things you are doing at home over the Christmas holidays. This will be a fun way to connect and inspire others! Be everGreen! Email your photos and a brief explanation to Mrs. Hattaway, and we will share your posts!
Looking for a Volunteer Musician! We would love to have music in the church again! We are looking for a volunteer or two to play the piano or guitar for either or both school masses each week. If you are willing to play some of the liturgical music, please let Mrs. Goldsworthy know. email@example.com
Eat & Earn at Belle Isle Restaurant and Brewery! Dine in or order out from Belle Isle on Wednesday, Dec. 16 from 5-9pm to help raise money for our school! Mention St. Eugene when you place your order.
Eat & Earn at Johnnie’s! Dine in or order out from Johnnie’s (both Britton and N. May locations) all day on Wednesday, Dec. 23rd. Mention St. Eugene when you order so a portion of proceeds come back to our school!
Reserve your CSSE Cookbook! PTO is grateful for all the wonderful recipes you shared! Order your copy here!
CSSE Family Feature!
How long have your children been attending The Catholic School of St. Eugene? This is our daughter’s first year at St. Eugene’s. She is in Pre-K 3/4 and enjoys it so much!
Why did you choose The Catholic School of St. Eugene? My husband, David, is St. Eugene alumni and this is our home parish. We value that our daughter will have a Catholic education.
What is your favorite thing about The Catholic School of St. Eugene? We love the community and diversity at St. Eugene. We have felt so welcomed!
Is there anything else about your family you would like to share? My husband and I are from Oklahoma. We have two dogs, a German Shepherd named Sammy, and a Boston Terrier named Flower.
We are thrilled to have the Blair family in our community!
We would like to feature a school family in every issue as a way for our community to get to know each other, even though we are practicing social distancing. If you would like to introduce your family to the rest of our community, please fill out this form and submit a family photo!

Please Pray For...
Please pray for those in our community with COVID-19. | Please pray for Mrs. Lupp's cousin, Jeff Scales, who is still very ill following his battle with COVID-19. He is back on a ventilator in the hospital after being released to long term care. | Please pray for Elliott and Teddy Hattaway’s great aunt, Charlotte Marshall, who was just diagnosed with multiple myeloma and promyelocytic leukemia. | Please pray for the repose of the soul of Terrence Seymour, grandfather of Isla Seymour. He passed away this week following an illness. | Please pray for the repose of the soul of Zach Plunkett, cousin of Mrs. Hattaway. | Please pray for the repose of the soul of Jesús Aleman, brother of Deacon Adolfo Aleman/brother-in-law of Mrs. Aleman. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine up him. | We offer a prayer of thanksgiving for the Pham’s great aunt, Phuong Kim, who is doing better and at home following her battle with COVID-19. | Pray for all those who have been affected by Covid-19, whether by sickness, loss of job, isolation, or loneliness, etc. May all find strength, comfort and healing in this difficult time. | Pray for our staff who have been put in many extra hours and navigated new territory this school year. | Please pray for students and their families. May God grant us all patience and wisdom as we navigate a very different school year. Help us put our faith first and give grace to all.
If you would like to include something in the Prayer Requests section, please contact Kim Hattaway at email@example.com.
COVID-19 Response and Procedures
My Child is Ill. What Do I Do? Allergies or COVID? Stomach bug or COVID? It can be hard to decipher what ailment might be affecting your child. We have created some graphics and flowcharts to help you navigate what steps to take when your child or someone in your household is feeling unwell. Please report concerns or questions about illness to Mrs. Goldsworthy at firstname.lastname@example.org, and she will consult with our response team - Mrs. O'Connell and Mrs. Rischard. ALWAYS fill out and submit the Absentee Form (or call Ms. Patrick in the office), then notify your child’s homeroom/house teacher each day of absence.
Absences Please use the Absentee Form to report absences AND email your child’s teacher/house homeroom. It is important to communicate why your child is missing school with the teacher and document through the Google form. Please be meticulous in following directions if a child, household member, or close contact has recently tested positive for COVID or is awaiting results of a COVID test. NO ONE IN THE HOUSEHOLD MAY ENTER THE SCHOOL BUILDING if COVID exposure is positive OR in question. Mrs. Goldsworthy MUST clear your household for return to school in all cases where the possibility of COVID is involved. Please use email@example.com for correspondence regarding illness updates to Mrs. Goldsworthy.
Screening Questions and Carpool Please remember to have your questions answered DAILY and results ready to show on your phone. Students should be masked, on the passenger side for temp checks, and ready to go as soon as carpool teacher opens the door. bit.ly/FamilyDailyQs
