Pre-K to Grade 3: Standards Based Report Cards
Training will be held on Friday, September 21 from 9:00 AM - Noon for 3rd grade teachers. New teachers that use SBG are also invited to attend. This workshop will held at the Archdiocese of Washington Pastoral Center.

Testing in BOOST Schools will be required in Grades 5 and 8 this school year.

School Assessment Team
Each school should have a 3-4 person Assessment Team:
Assessment Team Leader
•Responsible for creation and submission of the testing schedule and communication to teachers, students/parents, and key stakeholders regarding testing dates and outcomes; leads PD on use of assessment data.
Data Analyst/Data Coach
•Responsible for monitoring assessment results during and after testing windows, ensuring that all students are tested; prepares data reports for meetings with teachers and school leaders; leads PD on use of assessment data; manages accounts and data files in the Scantron database.
Technology Coordinator
•Responsible for maintenance of network, hardware and software for systems compliance; ensures that the testing environment is optimal; completes a systems verification before each testing window, and trains teachers on use of Achievement Series for classroom assessments.
Resource Teacher (SAT Liaison)
•Responsible for ensuring that testing accommodations are properly documented and provided for students with CAPs and ICEPs, and that students are appropriately coded in the Scantron database. Provides strategies and support to leaders and teachers for responding to the remedial and enrichment needs of students, and students with test-taking anxiety.
ADWLearn Fall Courses - Including HYBRID!
This school year the ADW Catholic Schools Office will offer a series of classes.
* Four hybrid courses for 3 re-certification credits. These 3 credit courses will meet 2 times in-person and the rest of the time will be online.
* One in-person 1 re-certification class will be offered on Wednesdays.
In order to earn the credits, teachers must attend all classes and satisfactorily complete all work for the course.

Meet our Keynote Speaker
Katie Prejean is an international speaker, educator, & author. Since 2007, Katie has been traveling throughout the U.S. and Canada sharing a unique blend of humor & storytelling, coupled with teaching theological truth, to engage audiences of all ages. Katie has spoken at events large & small, including Steubenville Youth Conferences, the National Conference for Catholic Youth Ministry, the National Catholic Youth Conference, Los Angeles Religious Education Congress & Youth Day, in dioceses & parishes from coast to coast, and has appeared on EWTN, Catholic TV, Radio Maria, & shows on The Catholic Channel on Sirius XM. Katie has written extensively, publishing two books – Room 24: Adventures of a New Evangelist and Follow: Your Lifelong Adventure with Jesus – with Ave Maria Press. She has published with Life Teen International, written for the USCCB “For Your Marriage” website, writes weekly for Epicpew.com, and maintains a blog here at katieprejean.com and curlyweds.com. Katie has her degree in Theology from the University of Dallas. Katie is married to Tommy McGrady & lives in Louisiana with their daughter, Rose, & dog, Barney.

What: The 2019 X-STEM "Extreme" STEM Symposium - presented by NCR - is a unique conference for kids where some of our nation's most respected professionals in science and engineering will speak to middle through high school students in a TED-style format.
Who Should Attend: Middle and high school level students (grades 6-12) with a strong interest in STEM, educators and parents.
