Alfred Day Hershey- December 4, 1908 born in Owosso, Michigan. Graduated from Michigan State with a Bachelor of Science. He got his Ph.D in 1934. 1969 Nobel Prize winner. Made the American Phage group. Excellent editor and writer. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He liked classical music.
