Cancer is a disease of the cell cycle because it mutates cells and it changes vital DNA
- Cancer cells are different from other cells because they continue to divide because they do not have any kind of signal, like a normal cell would have, to stop dividing
-Leukemia affects the blood because it does not produce as many white blood cells as it should and the white blood cells it does produce do not mature as they are supposed to
Leukemia Symptoms
Symptoms:
- enlarged liver
- shortness of breath
- swollen lymph glands
- easy bruising/bleeding
- frequent nose bleeds
- headaches
- bone/joint pain
- fatigue and weakness
Causes of Leukemia
Environmental-
The only two confirmed environmental issues that cause Leukemia are radiation and benzene. There are others that people think are causing it but there are only two confirmed.Health Factors-
There is no set health defects that caused Leukemia, it is when you are exposed radiation, or benzene.
Can it be inherited?-
The disease itself cannot be inherited, but traits that cause it are passed down that have potential to cause it.
