A Message from Mrs. Tate
Dear St. Michael the Archangel families,
Happy Easter! This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad. (Psalm 118:24) The Easter Octave leads us to the merciful love of God and the forgiveness of sins. It has been a joy to celebrate Easter at our school!
This week was filled with joy and HOPE…the hope and joy of our 2nd graders as they prepare for their first Holy Communion tomorrow and the hope and joy of our 8th graders as they prepare for their confirmation Monday evening. Please join me in congratulating these children for the successful completion of sacrament preparation and the reception of the holy sacraments!
Please note the important information in the newsletter below as you plan for events this spring and next fall:
- School supplies are available online at the link below
- Field Day for grades K-5 is May 16
- 6th and 7th grade students will go offsite on May 16 for a leadership retreat (more information to come)
- Go Forth and Serve Day is quickly approaching. We welcome ALL parents to engage with us and their children on this important day!
April and May are busy months. We appreciate your support as we have fun events and activities, and we also ask that you encourage kids to stay engaged in their academics as the weather warms and we get excited for summer.
Thank you for your love and support. Be watchful, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love. (1Corinthians 16:13-14)
I welcome everyone’s participation in the weekly chapter commentary on The Collapse of Parenting: How We Hurt Our Kids When We Treat Them Like Grown-Ups.
Have a blessed weekend!
Sincerely,
Diana Tate, Principal
