Girls JV & Varsity Cross Country Finish 2nd At Capital City Invitational
It was a great day for the cross country program at the Capital City Invitational! The program broke 34 PRs at one of the toughest meets in the State! The varsity girls program took second place behind defending State Champion Lees Summit West. The JV Girls also finished second paced by a standout performance from Lexi Comparato who finished first. You can view the team and top individual scores from the meet below. Good luck to Cross Country as the compete in the GAC Meet this Thursday!

The Vikings will host FHC for Homecoming this Friday. Howell will be looking to extend their eight-year winning streak over FHC that dates back to 2008. We hope to see all Viking fans on Friday night.
Cheer Raises Over $1,700 For The Walk To End Alzheimers
On Saturday, the Howell Cheer program participated and volunteered in the Alzheimers Association "Walk To End Alzheimers." The Howell Cheerleaders collected donations during the football games oand gathered donations from family and friends. This year our Lady VIkings raised over $1,700 for this great cause. Over the course of the past three years they have raised over $4,000 for this great organization. A big thank you to our cheer program for helping others and being actively involved in our community!

On Wednesday join us for the Powder Puff football game and homecoming festival sponsored by STUCO. Enjoy games, food, the introduction of Homecoming Court, Cheer and Golden Girl performances, a special Powder Puff Boys Cheer routine, and our Lady Vikings taking to the field for the Powder Puff football game. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. with the Powder Puff football game starting at 6.

Viking Way Celebrates Student Success
This week Viking Way celebrated the success of students by recognizing those at Howell that have an over 3.0 GPA, above 95% attendance, and zero discipline. Over 800 students at FHHS met the criteria for this celebration. Students were treated to breakfast and games to celebrate their hard work in the classroom. Thank you to Viking Way for putting on this great yearly event!
Winter Meet The Coaches Set For October 11th
The winter season "Meet the Coaches" has is set for October 11th. Eligibility paperwork turn in will begin at 5:15 p.m. in the high school commons with the meeting portion of the evening beginning at 6:00 p.m. Students can also complete Impact Testing beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the Learning Commons. All eligibility paperwork must be complete to be turned in. All students participating in a fall MSHSAA sponsored activity must have the eligibility packet completed prior to the first day of winter sports on October 30th. It is recommended that all paperwork be turned in at the "Meet the Coaches" event on October 11th. To ensure participation on October 30th all fully complete paperwork must be turned in no later than October 26th at noon.
