Advent Bible Study
This year's Advent Study will utilize Adam Hamilton's Not A Silent Night. Hamilton's book focuses on the story of Jesus from Mary's point-of view. The book begins at the end of Jesus' life, travels back in time as she witnesses his life and ministry, and ends at the beginning, with the birth of Christ in the stable.
Peg Russell will be leading and facilitating the group discussion. They will meet on Tuesdays until December 6th (no meeting on November 25) in the sanctuary. In order to accommodate schedules, the group will meet at two different times on Tuesdays: 10:30 AM and 7:30 PM. Both sessions will cover the same material.
If you are interested, hard copies of the books are available in the church office for $12. Kindle users can download the book from Amazon.
Join us for this unique Advent study!
The Star Tree
Please remove all price tags and DO NOT wrap the gift. You can put the gift in a bag (a holiday gift bag would be wonderful, but not necessary) with the star securely attached and return it to the star tree on a Sunday morning or drop it off in the church office throughout the week.
If you take a star, please write your name and phone number next to the star's number on the sheet in the narthex.
Please return your gifts on or before December 7th.
Thank you for helping spread Christmas cheer to those in need!
Add a Little Drama to Your Advent Season!
We will be looking at the message of the Magnificat and then interpreting it in a series of tableaux. We'll end the evening with a presentation of our dramatic portrayals. Photos of the tableaux will be at the heart of a brief video that will be shown in church on December 14th.
We promise: there's no memorization, no stumbling over your lines! Just a chance to pain a picture of a fascinating passage of Scripture!
Pizza and salad will be served.
All ages are encouraged to come! Bring your creativity along and enjoy a fun evening with your church family!
Bel Canto Children's Chorus Concert
