Infiniti Choir

On March 5th, one of our amazing a cappella groups, Infiniti, competed at the ICHSA Southwest Semifinals and won first place! They have now earned a spot at Nationals in NEW YORK CITY! ICHSA stands for International Championship of High School A cappella. If you have seen “Pitch Perfect”, that movie was based on the college version of this competition!
What started with more than 2,800 performers in 185 groups from high schools across 26 states culminates in a Top 10 showdown at ICHSA Finals on April 22nd, 2022, at The Town Hall in New York City.
Infiniti is representing the Great State of Texas at this elite competition, and we couldn’t be prouder!
If you would like to see their set, you can view it here: (This was at a different event two weeks ago but includes the same songs with one extra.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=986JDHZYfkI
Theatre

The Rockwall Heath Theatre Department competed in UIL One Act Play District Contest before spring break and came home with Keevia Stubbs receiving an All-Star Crew award, Lizza Minaya receiving an All-Star Cast award, Annaleese Forscutt and Gabriel White named best performers in the district, and all three judges ranked us first place. This means we have advanced to Bi-District competition that will take place March 23-24th in Tyler.
This is a beautiful Pulitzer Prize winning play about a family struggling through grief in the aftermath of the death of their four year old son.
The Heath Hawk Theatre Company competed at the UIL One Act Play Bi-District Contest on March 24th and will be advancing to the next round. Caroline Hipp won an All Star Crew award, Luke Hernandez won an Honorable Mention All Star Cast award, Gabriel White won an All Star Cast award, and Annaleese Forscutt won Best Performer.
Out of the 258 6A schools that entered in One Act Play, there are only 32 left that have made it to this level of competition. Our students are doing incredible work and please congratulate them on their continued success! Our next round will be at Midway Performing Arts Center Saturday, April 2nd at 5:30.
