Spotlight on Maria Ramirez, ATP Class of 2019 Graduate
Soledad Unified School District will say goodbye to Maria Ramirez on December 13, 2019 at 10:30am. Mr. Cose her teacher stated, "Maria has made tremendous growth in our program, and we are really going to miss her a lot! Over the past two years Maria took pride in helping her classmates learn basic sign language. Her advanced sign language skills enabled her to interpret for the deaf and hard of hearing at her church. Upon graduation Maria plans to continue learning. She is interested in working with pre-school aged children and possibly be language interpreter in the schools. This is a glimpse of her signing skills and special celebration with friends and classmates.

Soledad Unified was well represented at this training hosted by SELPA at the Monterey County Office of Education
The Soledad team of administrators and staff participated in a three part series on Alternative Dispute Resolution. These workshops will be facilitated and hosted by the Monterey County Office of Education. The following presenters are all Program Specialist; Valerie Wiltse, Allison Gribben, Patti Bangs and Michele Knight.
Goals and Objectives
1. IEP process (before, during and after the meeting).
2. Role of a LEA Designee in the IEP process.
3. Collaboration with site/district teams to improve IEP processes.
