New Protocol for Parent/Family Volunteers During School Hours

To all of our school volunteers... Thank you very much for offering to volunteer time during the school day at Nixon Elementary School. Effective March 1, 2022, all volunteers that support school based activities, during school hours, will be required to have a School Volunteer Confidentiality Agreement on file with the Nixon School Main Office. Paper copies of the Confidentiality Agreement are being sent home on YELLOW paper OR you are welcome to print out the document found at this link.

The staff and I value the contributions that volunteers make to our school community and look forward to our continued partnership.

Kindergarten Registration is Now OPEN!

Roxbury Township Public Schools, a K-12 school district preparing the children of today for tomorrow, has set its in-person Kindergarten registration dates for the 2022/2023 school year. Children must be five years old on or before October 1, 2022 to participate. Click here for more information regarding Roxbury's Entrance Age Policy (P5112). If there are any questions regarding the policy or procedure, please reach out to Assistant Superintendent Dr. Chuck Seipp at or by calling 973-584-6799.

Roxbury Township Public Schools offers a full-day kindergarten program designed to develop knowledge and skills in the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive areas. Our goal is to help children develop skills and strategies that will help them learn and establish a foundation for lifelong success in education. The program allows more time for students to address curriculum in depth and allows teachers to provide additional activities in learning.

To register for Kindergarten, parents will need to complete the online pre-registration process and begin uploading the required documents for Kindergarten. For a complete list of what to do and what to bring, visit

Online registration for Kindergarten is now open. Parents are required to register their child at their home school. If the home school is unknown, please contact the Transportation Department at 973-584-6756 and based on your address, they can let you know what school your child should be attending.
