Meet Mennies' New Principal!
Information for our Mennies' Families
On behalf of the Mennies School faculty and staff, welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! The staff and administration look forward to working together with you this year. Research confirms that parental interest and involvement in a child’s education is the most significant reason children succeed in school.
Mennies School is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and academically enriched environment for all of our students. In addition to increased academic performance, our staff is dedicated to creating a respectful and caring environment for your child to learn and grow.
Please take the time to read over the contents of this newsletter and discuss with your child the procedures that will ensure a smooth beginning. All children will receive an Agenda that contains a parent and student handbook on the first day of school. Please ask your child to share the Agenda with you so you can read it together.
Each day presents wonderful opportunities to make a difference in the lives of children. We look forward to working with you as partners in your child’s education.
Our Mission
Dr. William Mennies School, in partnership with our families and the community, will provide a positive and successful education for our students. At Mennies School, we believe:
All children can learn.
All children benefit from developmentally appropriate practices and strategies.
All children deserve a high quality education that meets and supports individual needs.
Character traits, such as respect, responsibility, and caring, deserve the same attention as academic skills.
Children learn best in a safe, caring environment that values collaboration, diversity, and respect.
