Flexible PDH 2016-2017
Some teams were asking about the new plan for professional development next year. Here is the information from district. More details to come, but you can start thinking about earning hours this summer, if you're interested.
In addition to district-wide professional development, 15 hours will be designated as Flexible Professional Development. 7.5 hours of this time will be designated and planned for by the campus administrators. The remaining 7.5 hours will be designated for the individual teacher to determine choice areas of professional learning.
In collaboration with the campus principal, plans may be approved to “bank” hours devoted to professional learning outside the school day in lieu of working on the following days: Monday, April 17 and Monday, June 5.
You can view the following documents when logged on to the PISD network (It's on inside.pisd)
