Projectile Motion
Projectile motion is a form of motion in which an object or particle is thrown near the earth;s surface, and it moves along a curved path under the action of gravity only.
Real World Examples!
Real World Example: Baseball player hitting a homerun
When the player hits the ball the ball travels in a parabola. Which also is called projectile motion.
Real World Example: Katniss shooting the arrow into the sky
When Katniss shoots the arrow into the sky, the arrow travels in an arch or parabola. This type of motion is called projectile motion.
Real World Example: Michael Jordan shooting a three-pointer
When Michael shoots the three-pointer, the ball travels in a parabola. Projectile motion is shown here in this example.
