Just for fun... some outdoor activities everyone can enjoy
Daffodil Experiment
Daffodils are blooming all around as spring is upon us. Did you know that inside daffodil stems there is a special sap. This sap leaches out when then stems are cut. When you put daffodils in a vase with other flowers the sap gets into the water and blocks other flower stems so they cannot take in the water... and it kills the other flowers!!! If you can get outside and find some daffodils and try this fun experiment at home! Just be careful not to get any of the sap on your hands.
Recycled Bird Feeder
Hey guys,
I miss seeing your smiling faces everyday but I hope you have fun with this project. I have attached our bird tracking google form. Feel free to fill this out at home with whatever birds you see. To help you get more birds to your house I have also attached an activity on seesaw to create your own bird feeder! I would love for you to post a picture of your creation when you are done. I will be sure to comment! Fill it with birdseed but if you don't have any birds love apples, bananas, seeds, raisins, cooked pasta and rice, eggshells and hard cheese! Good Luck and I cannot wait to see what you come up with!
Love,
Ms. Lynch
