Conference Sign Ups

As we round to corner into October and into Fall, it is time for our teachers to connect with each family during our Fall Family Conferences on October 24th and 29th. Please sign up for one time slot with your child's homeroom teacher using the Sign Up Genius links below. Our goal is to have 100% of our families participate in our fall conferences. If you would like to see one of our specialist teachers, they are available on these evenings as well. Just email ahead of time to make sure they are available in the time you would like to meet with them.

Want to come over and play?

We are looking for volunteers who want to come and support our lunch recess with K-5 students. If you have any open days of the week from 11:45AM-12:25PM, we would LOVE to have you join us on the playground. While you're having fun, you get to wear a super stylish orange vest and show your kids how cool you are with a basketball! In all seriousness, our goal is to have as many students engaged in play, moving and having fun, as possible. Having parents and grandparents volunteer to help with a game always gets more students excited to try it out. If you are interested, please sign up through this Sign Up Genius form. We are looking especially for Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. PS - If the orange vest is a deal-breaker...you don't have to wear it.

Cup Stacking in Phy Ed

Our Hillcrest Huskies have been having a blast this week learning how to do competitive cup stacking, an activity that requires strategy and intense hand eye coordination. While they are moving on to a new unit, we want families to know that the cups are available for purchase if anyone is interested. This is not a fundraiser and there is no expectation that anyone purchase. All payments go through Mr. Kuhtz. More information can be found HERE.

Counseling Updates for October

Please see the attached message from Heidi Edwards, our school counselor. Mrs. Edwards is here on Monday mornings to work with classrooms with our counseling lessons. Ask your child about the social/emotional learning lessons that take place at school.
