Salima Fetter: Emory MBA, Mom of 1 with baby on the way and S&D Associate Director
Stella & Dot has given me the opportunity to have the job of my dreams while allowing me the time and flexibility to also be a stay-at-home mom. After I had my daughter, I decided that I wanted to stop working full time and stay at home with her. I left a six-figured salary at a very respectable company so I was motivated to find something part-time where I could also substantially contribute financially to my family. I decided to become a stylist with Stella & Dot, and it was the best decision I ever made. I get to set my own hours, go to a job where I have lots of jun, meet incredible women, wear jewelry that I love, coach and mentor, and earn a great income. I have truly built a business that I"m proud of and I still have plenty of valuable quality time with my husband and daughter. I really like that I have the best of both worlds!
Lynn Cooper: Auburn Graduate, Mom of Two and Full Time Realtor & Stella & Dot Director
In July 2009 I happened upon a Stella & Dot posting on Facebook. At the time, I was a full time real estate professional and had no intentions of starting another career. I had never been to a trunk show. In fact, home parties were not my thing. But my gut told me that Stella & Dot was all together different. I jumped in that very night and signed up to get started without ever having seen a single piece of jewelry in person. I sold over $10,000 my first month and ranked #2 in sales for the company my first 2 years, all while carrying on my real estate career. Through Stella & Dot I have discovered new friends and an absolute passion for running m own business! While I hadn't really studied the compensation plan BEFORE signing up, it wasn't long after I got my first paycheck that I figured out you could earn LOTS of money selling Stella & Dot. I am now a Mom of two little ones both under the age of 2, a Director with the company and enjoy helping others build their dream business with Stella & Dot! I love the fashion, the flexibility, the fun and being a part of this amazing community of women. Stella & Dot, an Inc 500 Fastest-Growing Company, is a social selling company that creates flexible opportunities for women to be work from home entrepreneurs. We believe everyone deserves great style, fun and opportunity in their everyday lives, and we're dedicated to providing it in a personal way. That's why we sell our line exclusively through friendly Stella & Dot Stylists online and at in home trunk shows. Lauren Sigler, Former Attorney, Mom of 2, and Stella & Dot Star Stylist
It is hard to imagine that I would have found stella & dot had Imogene not had cerebral palsy. I think I would have gone back to work in an "office-job." I could feel it - I needed to work again. I missed having my own money, even though my wonderful husband always told me the money he made was "our money." To me though, he made it and I spent it. For sure, I needed something of my own. I had no idea how much I needed it until I got going with stella & dot. Imogene was fresh off an eye surgery when my sponsor sent me the look book. I told several people that there was no way I could figure out how to "sell jewelry." For starters, I was an attorney. What did I know - or need to know - about jewelry? But really, how could I not be there for every therapy appointment, every specialist appointment, every orthotics visit? My first responsibility was to be there for Imogene, and be sure that she had every thing she needed for the best care we could give her. Caring for a child with special needs (no matter how severe or mild) can be a full-time job. There are constant insurance issues, scheduling matters, and home therapy to tackle. What I quickly found out, and what I know more every day, is that stella & dot is the BEST job I could have. Whatever is going on with our kids, those of us who are moms of young children are able to be there for all the little moments, and big ones, that matter most. We set our own schedules, set our own goals and vision for our businesses. Sometimes it just happens that our schedules work around three therapy visits a week! I feel so fortunate to have found this career - I really did not think I'd have one again for a long time. Instead, I plan on having THIS one for a very long time.
