Three companies that slayed the marketing game in 2015

Beats by Dr. Dre

Beats’ headphones grew because of word of mouth, influencers like LeBron James, and co-marketing deals with phone makers, car makers, and others. The brand produced emotionally-charged ads starring the NBA’s Kevin Garnett and Barcelona FC’s Cesc Fàbregas that quickly went viral, as well as a short film for the World Cup that exploded online, essentially stealing the global ad show with its inspiring look at the pre-game rituals of a laundry list of soccer stars. Beats managed to bond sports and music into a inseparable relationship.

Dove: Campaign for Real Beauty

The campaign that had its origins in London and Canada with a billboard asking motorists to vote on whether the women pictured were “fat or fit?” or “wrinkled or wonderful?” kicked off a conversation about society’s notions of female standards of beauty. Dove’s “Campaign for Real Beauty” is the only campaign cited by every one of the Advertising Age judges as belonging on this list, and one that was described by the panel as groundbreaking, brave, bold, insightful, transparent and authentic.

Audi: Land of the Quattro

Quattro: (meaning four in Italian) is the sub-brand used by the car brand Audi AG to indicate that all-wheel drive (AWD) technologies or systems are used on specific models of its Audi automobiles. Audi went into 2015 showing off its ability to be able to hold its ground in all types of roads situations.

The good and bad in 2015: Product wise

Best?

IPhone 6s

The new iPhones introduce 3D Touch, which senses force to enable intuitive new ways to access features and interact with content. iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus feature Retina HD displays made from the strongest glass and the same alloy used in the aerospace industry, in gorgeous metallic finishes that now include rose gold.

Now the following is slightly contradicting...... But also one of the best this year

Galaxy S6

Not only is this the most attractive smartphone Samsung has ever produced, it’s also got one of the most accurate cameras of any handset around. It’s speedy, has a gorgeous display and svelte metal body, and packs both a built-in fingerprint reader and mobile payment system.

Worst?

Google Glass

Google offered the wearable computer prototype to only several thousand “explorers” through an application process. Each Glass explorer paid $1,500 to test the prototype. After Google announce it would discontinue Glass, the New York Times reported that the product’s imperfections were widely acknowledged within the company even before its launch

I am leaving because I want to be a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight. I know I have four friends for life in Louis, Liam, Harry and Niall.
