Leader in Me
This month we will be focusing on Habit 2- Begin with the End in Mind. Think about how you want something to turn out before you start. Goal setting is an important skill for success. Set a goal. Then, break it down into small manageable pieces. A great example is a puzzle. You study the picture. Then, you sort the pieces. Perhaps you'll do the edge first. Next, you may find all the pieces of one color, and so on step by step until it is complete. At home, you may want to discuss setting a goal with the family or your student and come up with a plan to achieve it.
Additionally, this week we will be conducting the MRA- Measurable Results Assessment for Leader In Me. This will be taken by fourth and fifth-grade students at school, staff, and the community. This survey is used to annually collect, analyze and report student, staff, and family input on school-level outcomes. These outcomes include leadership, culture, and academics here at RCES. Please use the link below to access the Family/ Community Survey to help RCES collect feedback on our outcomes.
Thank you!

Adopt a Garden/Outdoor Classroom
Thank you to all those that reached out to help put our courtyard to bed. Pictures coming next week 🙂
The RCES students and staff would enjoy if we had a few bird feeders in the courtyard to watch for the birds that winter in MD.
Families or groups that would like to weed, purchase a spring plant, adopt a garden bed, provide a bird feeder/seed or make a donation please contact Ms. Rosie, LHA/Para at derosero@mcpsmd.org.
