BHS Update - April 5, 2023

Dear Pirate Families,


Today we conducted a tornado drill at BHS. This involves getting our entire student body and students at BTEC into the BHS basement. Our students did a great job of taking the drill seriously to ensure we are prepared in case of an emergency.


We also celebrated Assistant Principal Week, Librarian Week, and Paraprofessional Day this week at BHS. It takes everyone at BHS to ensure a positive learning environment for our students. It's an all hands on deck attitude at BHS and we are grateful for their service.


We hope our teachers, staff and students will have time to rest and rejuvenate over the next couple of days to ensure we can finish the year strong.

He said, "The pride that exists in the Boonville School District has always been evident to me as an outsider. I am very excited to be able to have an active role in continuing to build pride and rich traditions at Boonville High School. Go Pirates!"

The BHS prom sponsors are in search of 2 bubble machines and as many black light bars as they can source. If you happen to own any of these items or know someone who would be willing to loan theirs out, please contact Mrs. James, Mr. Stock, or Mrs. Russell. Thanks!

Attendance Make Up Hours

Students who have missed more than eight absences in a particular class must make up their attendance to ensure their grade is not dropped to a D-. Make-up opportunities are available on Wednesdays and Saturdays during detention. We are quickly running into limited options for make-up hours; please ensure your students are on top of this requirement. If your student has a question about their attendance, please have them contact Mrs. Parkhurst in the attendance office.
