Thank you for the support!
All of the teachers in our building cannot thank you enough for all of your support from home throughout the school year, but especially during the debate process over the last few weeks. It truly was a great learning experience for all involved! As we unwind from and reflect on last week, it would mean a great deal to us as we move forward if you would do the following:
1. Take the time to give us your feedback. This is for students, teachers, administrators, parents, and anyone who was impacted by the tournament. Even if you didn't participate directly in the tournament, if there are things you saw, heard, or experienced that were either good or needed improvement, we would love to hear from you!
· Survey Link: https://goo.gl/forms/Zb0yu1JAhIBGcGlq2
· We would love as many people as possible to take the survey! Thank you in advance for your time!
2. Take the time to congratulate all participants and let them know how proud we are of all of them. Regardless of wins and losses, we want students to walk away knowing this was a huge win for them personally and for our building.
Note: If you want to see pictures from the debate, they have been posted on the http://www.lvrockmyfaceoff.weebly.com website!
We also wanted to send a special thank you to our adult volunteers: Zara Holsted, Amy Heithoff, Gretchen Meinhardt, Kelly Franklin, Sarah Kuhn, Dana Dunaway, Laci Day, Brandi Mewhirter, Jen Fuller, Bridgette Dunn, Susan Buckles, Elaine Warren, Mary Beane, Tia Tenbrink, Lisa Kobayashi, Kelly Skinner, Kirsten Berry, Bridgette Gadd, Brenda Vandeginste, Susan Green, Naomi Mcghee, Hilary Murray, Mike Green, Shannon Higgins, Traci Davis, Chris Albani, Gwen VanAsselt, Theresa Fitzpatrick, Lisa Darnell, Colleen Uribe, Kelly Jones, and Caitlin Uribe

Dear Parents/Guardians of Lakeview Middle School students,
At our school you may have heard of our students earning “STARbucks” for different types of positive behaviors they demonstrate related to our Lakeview Lynx STAR expectations:
-Respect to all
Over the course of our school year, students use their earned STARbucks to purchase fun activities and items from our Lynx Den school-wide store.
This is where we need your help!
Next month, we want to do more drawings from our Lynx Den store with students winning gift cards to area stores/restaurants and other fun prizes. Would you be willing to purchase and donate a gift card or other item for this type of activity? We cannot accept cash donations, but would appreciate any of the following:
- Gift cards to restaurants and retail stores in the area (Burlington, Zona Rosa, etc.) in amounts from $5 - $25
- Food Prizes (all food items must be in their original container):
- Candy bars and bags of candy of all sizes
- Bags of potato chips in all sizes
- Granola bars or other snack items
- *Must be in cans or plastic (no glass bottles)
- Other items:
- Earbuds, basketballs, or other fun-type of kid appropriate items/games (again, no more than $25 value, please)
If you decide to help us out, please send your donation to the office over the next few weeks. We will use these in April during student appreciation week, as well as for 4th quarter positive incentives for our students. Thank you for any donations you can provide. This helps build an atmosphere that “promotes the positives”!

Park Hill’s newest schools finally have names!
Our Board of Education named our two new schools Hopewell Elementary and Walden Middle School, choosing from the recommendations of our naming committees. The two committees, made up of students, parents, staff and community members, sorted through 744 school name suggestions from students and the public that ranged from the silly to the serious.
Near the site of Hopewell Elementary, archeologists found artifacts from an ancient network of Native Americans known today as the Hopewell culture,
which was spread across most of North America from 200 BC to 500 AD and connected by trade routes. Walden Middle School’s name comes from the old
township, Parkdale Walden, where we are building the new school.
A limited supply is available, and all proceeds go toward a great cause!
Buy your Lakeview Pop Sockets for $10 in the lunchroom starting November 5th. They will only be available for a short time.
All proceeds go to Care Team which helps with student needs in our building. Get them while you can!
