MESSAGE FROM MR. NELSON
Dear families,
I wanted to make sure all of our students are prepared for recess at Robinwood this year when the cold weather begins. As you are aware, our recess looks different keeping classroom cohorts together in assigned areas throughout the playground. This includes three grassy areas that will become snow when the winter weather starts. This means ALL students will be expected to have boots and snow pants during the weeks they are assigned to the snowy areas. In years past, our older students did not have to bring snow pants and boots, and typically did not, as they would stay on the blacktop. Again, this will be a different expectation this year.
Thank you,
Mr. Nelson

DRESS FOR THE WEATHER
Wisconsin weather is upon us! Please make sure your son/daughter is dressed appropriately for outdoor recess. Coats and hats are necessary for the impending cold weather. However, this being Wisconsin, it can become warm and sunny by noontime. Please remind your child if they choose to remove their jacket during recess they are to be tied around their waist and not left on the playground. The decision to have an outdoor or indoor recess is based on both the wind speed and temperature at 11:30 am. If it is an outside recess day, all students must go outdoors.

PLEASE WASH MASKS
Our students and staff are doing a great job wearing their masks each day! As we get into normal routines during the school year, one routine we would like to highly encourage is mask washing. We are seeing some students coming to school with masks that have not been washed in a few days. Please consider having your student rotate masks throughout the week and start each day with a clean, fresh mask. Mask effectiveness is best with a clean, dry mask each day.
It is always a good idea to have an extra mask in your student's backpack. We have had some students forget to bring a mask in the morning or lose their mask at lunch. Thanks for your help.
