Sunflower Growth vs. Tulip Growth
Two different flowers, a sunflower and a tulip are growing in the exact same way. They receive the same amount of sunlight and water. Both flowers start the experiment at the same time however the tulip is already grown 6cm before starting the experiment while the sunflower starts off from the seed and is not grown whatsoever before the experiment. The sunflower grows 5cm every week while the tulip grows 2cm every week.
Equations
Sunflowers
Let w represent the number of weeks the flower grows for and let h represent the height of the flower in centimetres.
h= 5w
Tulips
Let w represent the the number of weeks the flower grows for and let h represent the height of the flower in centimetres.
h= 2w+6

Conclusions
The sunflower and the tulip will be the same height of 10cm in 2 weeks. This is significant because it allows you to see when two different flowers were similar.
