NEW 4-H ASSISTANT: Amanda Davis
Hi there!
My name is Amanda Davis and I am excited to be the 4-H Assistant in the Central Sandhills Area! I began my new role on August 12, and look forward to serving Grant, Blaine, Hooker and Thomas counties. I grew up in rural southwest Missouri and I am a graduate from Kansas State University. I am a United States Army veteran and have previously worked as a 4-H Agent with K-State Research and Extension, and the University of Missouri Extension. I have been living in this region for two years, and currently reside in Hyannis. I love the Sandhills! What a beautiful place to live! My husband Tim, is the Agriculture teacher and FFA Advisor in Hyannis. We have two children, Kaylee(16) and Cash (13), who attend Hyannis Area Schools and are members of Grant County 4-H with project interests focusing in livestock.
Through my involvement in 4-H, both personally and professionally, it has become my passion to help youth learn life skills and to "Make The Best Better". The 4-H program is a long-time tradition for many and the benefits are life-changing. With time, effort, support and patience, I believe we will grow our 4-H youth involvement and participation in the Central Sandhills Area.
Thank you! Amanda

ACHIEVEMENT AWARD INFORMATION
Central Sandhills Area Submission Deadline: October 1
The Nebraska 4-H Achievement Application is a standard application form used for the selection of county and state award winners, including Nebraska delegates to National 4-H Congress and National 4-H Conference, as well as Nebraska 4-H Foundation scholarship award recipients.
Two versions of the application are available:
- Junior Achievement Application for ages 8-14 (county-only)
- Senior Achievement Application for ages 15-18 (state-eligible)
Counties may choose to use the Achievement Application in selecting a variety of county-level awards and recognition. To apply for county-level awards and recognition, submit a complete application via email to CSA Extension Office by October 1. Only Senior Achievement Applications (ages 15-18) are accepted for state-level awards and recognition.
Application Completion:
Applications must be completed and submitted electronically. For convenience, three electronic formats of the application form are available: PDF, Word and Google Docs. Following a county-level review, youth may make revisions as needed before submitting for state-level review.
