R.T.I.
Your point of contact for RTI here at Goodman is Mrs. McKinzy and Mrs. Ray
•Tier I interventions are done by teachers with students in class on a regular basis.
•If a teacher needs to move from Tier 2 to Tier 3, please email Mrs. Ray and the RTI team will schedule to review the documentation.
•Tier 3 to referral will be reviewed by the Pre-referral Team (formerly known as the IST team)
•All RTI paperwork is uploaded to the M-drive.
•Mrs. Ray can be contacted for RTI questions for academics/speech.
•Mrs. McKinzy can be contacted for RTI questions for behavior.
•Fidelity checks will be conducted by a RTI point of contact.
•Failing STAAR is not an automatic determinant of access to tiered intervention.
•The universal screeners will also give us an idea of what tiers, students fall into.
•Data must be brought to the RTI meetings.
•Universal screening occurs for all students k-5, and is in progress.
•Tier 2 interventions are 2-3 times per week for 30 minute sessions.
•Tier 3 interventions take place 4x per week for 30 minutes sessions.
•The interventionist pull out time can count towards tiered intervention time.
•As the RTI team meets, a formal RTI folder will be made for the student and filed in the front office.
