Parent-Teacher Conferences
The early release dates for conferences are March 2 and March 3, 2022.
· Wednesday, March 2, is a digital learning day where students will learn from home.
· Thursday, March 3, Corley Elementary students will be dismissed at 12:45 p.m. If your student is a car rider/day-care rider, please make any necessary transportation arrangements for your child. Buses will drop students off at their stop at the earlier time.
Conferences can be held in-person or virtually. We will offer the convenience of online conference scheduling that allows you to make and change your conference appointments more easily and choose times that best match your family’s schedule.
We will be utilizing an online scheduling system for this session of conferences. The online sign-up window will open on Thursday, February 10th at 4:00 PM and close on Thursday, February 24th at 4:00 PM. At 4:00 PM on Thursday, February 10th, the parent-teacher conference sign-up link will be listed on the Corley Elementary home page.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Masks are required when attending a conference in the school building. Please make efforts to secure childcare. If you are unable to secure childcare, please schedule a virtual conference. Thank you!
African American History Month
Each morning, on the news show, we will feature an influential African American. This year we are asking for participation from students all over the building. We call this featured segment "The Legacy Lives On." We are inviting students to dress up as the person and/or use props to share information about this person's accomplishments.
We will continue our fact finder contest. Students are encouraged to read the posters and/or doors around the room and share the facts they have learned. Prizes will be awarded to participating students.
Our goal is to use our displays and activities to educate and inspire the students and staff at Corley.
