Blue Hills News
From the Desk of the Principal - December 16, 2021
Dear Blue Hills Families,
We are quickly approaching the end of the calendar year; this will be the final newsletter of 2021! I want to thank you all, again, for your support of Blue Hills during a most challenging year. We remain committed to providing students with a safe community, opportunities, relevance in their learning, and employability options upon graduation. Regardless of what the next year brings, we will stay focused on our Core Values and delivering the best education we possibly can to all of our students.
Wishing you and your families a wonderful holiday season. See you in the new year!
Winter Athletics
Please be aware that our calendar/schedule does change from time to time due to weather, cancellations, etc. You can find winter athletic schedules here.
Past Reminders:
Covid-19
As you know, there has been a recent increase in Covid-19 cases across our area, particularly after the Thanksgiving Break. Thank you for your support as we balance being fully open with keeping everyone safe.
- Any individual who tests positive for Covid-19 must remain out of school according to the Department of Public Health and school guidelines.
- Nurse Gainey is our point person for covid matters, and has been working tirelessly to contact families when issues arise.
- Fully vaccinated individuals are no longer required to quarantine or get tested if they are a close contact with someone who tests positive. However, they are required to monitor symptoms and quarantine/test should symptoms arise.
- The most important mitigation strategies we have at school are mask-wearing, high levels of vaccination, and our fully updated HVAC system. We have been very patient with mask wearing "fatigue" this year, but ask for your assistance in making sure students have masks and are wearing masks while in school.
AM Drop-Off/PM Pick-Up
Just a reminder: Please do NOT stop in front of the Main Entrance of the school to drop off or pick up your student during the morning and afternoon arrival/departure times. The Main Entrance is busy and congested, with traffic coming from several directions - we need to keep it clear. Thank you for your cooperation.
Congratulations Enzo!
